Cotton producers sign up for referendum
      Cotton producer and importers who want USDA's Agriculture Marketing Service to conduct a referendum regarding the Cotton Research and Promotion Program can sign-up at their local Farm Service Agency office Sept. 4 through Nov. 30. No action is necessary if a continuance referendum is not desired.

Ag market prices continue looking good
      The Texas Department of Agriculture market recap for the week ending Sept. 8 shows higher cash prices. Fed cattle prices were up on a continued tight supply of finished cattle. Cash feeder cattle increased along with the higher fed market and weak feed grain markets at mid-week.
