Brahmarettes lose to Edna

EAST BERNARD - East Bernard's volleyball team dropped its third straight match after losing to 6th ranked Edna 25-17, 25-14, 25-11 in Brahma gym Friday afternoon.

East Bernard entered Tuesday's home match against Flatonia with a 9-14 record.

The Lady Bulldogs were 14-8 after beating La Grange.

The Lady Leopards beat the Brahmarettes last Tuesday.

Edna, 21-3, beat East Bernard in last year's bidistrict playoff match.

Bev Kresta led the Brahmarettes offensive attack with eight kills.

Setter Candice Dusek had 28 assists and Tara Hlavinka had 14 digs.

East Bernard hosts Shiner on Friday

The Brahmaretes open 27-2A play on Sept. 18 against Hitchcock.
