EB girls tie for 1st at Sealy Invitational SEALY - East Bernard's girls cross county team tied for first at Saturday's Sealy Invitational. The Brahmarettes and host Lady Tigers both finished with 46 points. Brazos was third with 48 points. Bellville was fourth with 78 points and Columbus was fifth with 117 points. Sealy's Candice Mc- Cormick won the 2-mile race with a 11:57 time. Brazos' Brandi Witte finished second with a 12:12 and teammate Haleigh Pustka was third with a 12:23. Stafford's Jasmine Dalton finished fourth with a 13-minute time and East Bernard's Kelsie Merritt finished fifth with a 13:01. Brahmarette Christie Acevedo finished eighth with a 13:19. Amanda Walters was 10th with a 13:43, Kayla Tovar was 12th with a 13:46 and Libby Vincik was 18th with a 14:08. East Bernard competes at the Brazos Invitational in Wallis this Saturday. |
