Crimes reported to local law enforcement agencies

Assaults

Class A assault - Reported in the 200 block of South Sunset, Wharton, at 3:31 a.m. Saturday. Cleared by arrest.

Class A assault - Reported at the Red River Apartments, 1821 Red River Avenue, Wharton, at 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Class A assault - Reported at the Pierce Department of Public Safety station in Pierce between 8:50 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. Sept. 2.

Burglaries, thefts

Theft - Reported in the 100 block of Evans Street, Wharton, between 8 p.m. Sept. 4 and 6 a.m. Sept. 5. A lawnmower was reported stolen and recovered.

Burglary of a habitation - Reported in the 1400 block of Harris Street, Wharton, between 12:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Sept. 4. A big screen TV and a bike valued at $350 were reported stolen.

Theft - Reported just south of U.S. 90-A and CR 256, East Bernard, between 6:15 a.m. and 12 p.m. Sept. 4. Two "devil" drills valued at $34,000 were reported stolen.

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle - Reported in the 16000 block of FM 1164, East Bernard, at 12:15 a.m. Aug. 25. A 1992 Honda Civic valued at $7,000 was reported stolen.

Criminal Mischief

Criminal mischief - Reported at the Briar Pointe Apartments, 1717 Briar Lane, Wharton, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. A patio door was reported damaged.

Criminal mischief - Reported in the 800 block of North Spanish Camp Road, Wharton, at 8:38 p.m. Thursday. A screen door and a wall valued at $200 were reported damaged.
