The Faith Temple Church of God in Christ; under the leadership of Pastor Grayling Alexander in Hungerford, Texas and Dawson Center, also known as Just Do It Now, sponsored its first ‘Back to School Fair’, August 21.  Pandora Walker, author of “What’s Bugging You About Math?” gave tips to parents about math and helping their kids understand the importance of math in everyday life.  Author, Carolyn Williams, gave health tips from her newly released book; and two music instructors on hand for music lessons, Ebony Pace and Gwen Douglas held registrations for piano and violin lessons.  An auction and ticket raffle were presented along with a plethora of delectable finger-foods and refreshing drinks.  The chairperson, Sister Margaret Collins said, “This was an evening of blessing our children, both naturally and spiritually before their first day of school.”  The fair was concluded with school supplies that were handed out for the large group of diverse children, and a prayer for all the parents bringing children into school for the first time this year.
